Many hands make light work, To many cooks spoil the broth, There are certainly a few morals in this pirate tale. A bad storm is about to hit and the sails need to be down Captain cod is calling the shots. Not much is being done until the pirates learn to work together. There are a lot of pirate type words and nautical references that Emily didn’t understand she liked the pirates however. I think this may be a better book when Emily is a bit older.
This brilliantly funny story about pirates shows how important it can be to work together as a team. A huge storm is approaching the Golden Duck and Captain Cod needs to get the ship's sails down quickly before they are torn apart in the storm. He asks each pirate one by one to pull down a sail.
